First week in Australia! New life ahead

So...it has been a week here in this new country huh? A brand new environment in my life, it is an experiment which I have never think of to have in my life.

The first night I leave my dearest family and my dearest him, I remember I miss them so so much when I had heavy meal on MAS plane at 2am (lol? which skill?半夜两点吃正餐是那一招?) I had my meal in tears. But, dont worry, no more tears after the sun rises.

The first Saturday I am here in Australia,
that was a super tiring day! I wish I can stay in the warm Sydney for a longer period...definitely going back there for trips during holidays~the taxi from Airport to John College cost $40+ bloody expensive. Luckily my 2 friends paid half of it, they got down at University House(something like hotel on campus)

My first meal in John is a cold meal...I dont know there is a hot food counter back in the dining hall lol

Ok...and for the whole week of Orientation...hmmm... I cant remember much of it haha. There were few useful workshops I attended, but I am not revising their notes...The bank is crowded! And WiFi is everywhere here, and the technology is way different from back then when I was in Taiwan, so I got my sim card only on Wednesday(made a stupid choice of phone plan...)

Oh ya! I went shopping with John College Asian seniors at Canberra city center~ just to have a look and get myself familiar with things outside campus, tried to take my first bus here~

I added $10 in my room phone, used $3 to call 阿姨 for one hour, she gave me a lot of helpful advices.

The first weekend I had here in ANU was a shopping weekend~ I bought a lot of stuffs which I will be using in the future. Living expenses here is actually not high if you take account of the citizens' income in Canberra. Finally got myself a small heater on Sunday (prohibited item in John, shhhhh) to safe me from freezing working nights!! by the way, I am so so glad and thankful that i brought my thick quilt and insisted to bring sleeping bag or else i wouldnt survive the nights.

I guess I should go for my dinner now, first dinner in academic week 1. Sun goes down, I start shiverring, simple and sad logic.

OMG...my ideas are so not organised...orz
scattered all over the place...
a long shopping list is on for next weekend, do i need to get a dictionary? it will be useful for close book exams!
